Suikoden II Help and Tips

Once there was an adopted boy, who lived with an old soldier named Genkaku. Genkaku was a soldier for the City-States of Jowston, he was the best. One day he dies and you and your sister Nanami live together, but you join the Unicorn Brigade. This is where you adventure begins...

Walk Through

You first start out as a Highland Pre Soldier. One night you and your friend Jowy are camped in Tanzan Pass. When you go to sleep, you wake up hearing a battle. When this happens you go outside. After that you head south toward a narrow mountainside. There is an ambush waiting to happen. Once you reach the ambush site Jowy knows what has happened, he senses it. Walk back to the site, you see dead soldiers. But keep going. You come back to where you were camped, but there is a guy in Royal Uniform. He is Prince of Highland, Luca. In your attempts to talk to your Captain, Rowd he tries to take your life. Keep going, this time go up north to a cliff and a waterfall. When you reach there Rowd comes and tries to take your life. But after one battle or more you jump the cliff into the water below. Dont worry you dont die. You are kind of in shock. You see this guy that looks like a bear, he is Viktor. You confess everything, that you are a Highland Soldier and this begins your assignment by Pohl.

Pohl Assignment

Once you talk to Viktor and Flik you are thrown in a jail cell. You scarcely eat, but dont worry, this is just the beginning. In the morning you wake up to see a person named Pohl. She opens your cell and has you do an assignment. It is really easy. Just push back the crates and your done. Then you go back to Pohl. Another assignment awaits you. (I will not mention how many times you sleep in the cell) This time Pohl gives you a rag. You hav eto cleen up a lot of oil. Just go through out the fort and wipe up the oil with the rag. After that go back to Pohl. She will give you an assignment to do with a few things. First you go to the Blacksmith. Then you go to the Storageroom. Then you head into Ryubi Village. When you go to Ryubi to get flour she will assign Gengen to go with you. And one other person. You can go help Millie and get Bonaparte. Another person you can get is Rikimaru. The Quest to get Bonaparte
You know how Millie is looking for something? That thing is Bonaparte. Go into the forest (bottom path) then go a short distance until you come up to this thing that is poodle size. Go up to it and get close to it. Millie will say Bonaparte, this begins your batlle with Bonaparte. When you battling Bonaparte it does take some time. He is not hard but it takes a little while to beat him. After you beat him go back to Ryubi and Millie will join you. Also get Rikimaru, pay some Potch and he joins! Go back to Flik and Viktor and thats your mission!



Escape Period


Well, first I would like to say get lots of medicine. Then after that Jowy will help you one night. The spoon that you get for your dinner is a esential tool. But dont worry, you will not need to get it somehow. Jowy will do the rest, then you runaway. After leaving the fort go to Ryube Village. There you will find a muscle guy(Bolgan). And to women(Ellie, and Rina). Go near them and they will have you do a knife throwing trick. Stay in the middle the whole time. You will not get hit with the knife.(No worries if you do) And then they will accompany you, they are going to Kyaro too. So save the game(I recommend that you do everytime you are near a Hotel) and head up north of Ryube. You will go up a mountain that has winding trails, one trail will have healing water that will heal you HP and MP. Keep on going up the Mountain untill you see a save orb. Save your game and then head up the trail.(Make sure your party is full health) You find a Monster that is Mist. The monster takes a little while to beat. (Always heal your party when they are wounded) After you beat him keep on heading up the trail. You will exit the trail after a few more ledges.


Kyaro Town


Once you leave the trail go to a town that is strait ahead. That is Kyaro Town. Rina, Bolgan and Ellie will depart. Dont worry this is supposed to happen. After go to the seft. DO NOT go into the house. Instead go behind it. There will be a big tree by a ledge. Press x 3 times to get Mukumuku. You will walk around the tree and he will be following. Then go inside your house. Go to the backyard. And then you will see this girl, Nanami. She is your sister. She will get all wild and talk to you for a while. Then go to the front, first go to the grave and press x. Then go to the front. When you are in the front you will se that Captain of yours Rowd. He will fight you and you will be taken to Prison. After you are in Prison for a while he will take you to some gallows. On the way there you will see Princess Jullia Blight. Talk and say you are innocent. Then you will continue to the gallows. At the gallows call Rowd a jerk. He will talk for a while. You will look at the sunset, dont worry it is not your last like he says. You will hear sounds that dont sound normal in the background. You know who that is? No not Nanami. Its Flik and Viktor! They came to rescue you! After that Viktor scares Rowd away. Then go to the Unicorn Brigade Barracks. There you will see Nanami and Mukumuku escapeing to save you. They scare away the soldiers and bump them out of the way. She will run past you and then see you. Mukumuku will see you first and come right to you. After that go to the Hoter (Inn) and Save your game. Right before you leave Kyaro Nanami will ask you if you think they will ever go back, Say you will.

Back to the Fortress

Once you get Nanami and you escape go back down the mountain. Check the trails, now is a good time because you have Flik and Viktor. There are lots of items, mostly useful for the beginning. Once you get the items go back to the Fortress. Then Flik and Viktor depart. Expore around your area, this will get you in fights and raise your level.



Beyond The Fortress

Shiro and Kinnison
Before you go to Muse you have to go recruit Shiro and Kinnison. To get Shiro and Kinnison you must go to the trail on the upper side of the trail you took with Millie. Once you go up there you see a yellow looking thing, its a bird. Put it back up. Follow the trail up until you see a cabbin. Walk in then back out and then you will see Shiro and Kinnison. Recruit them and you going to Muse!

Pilika in Toto Village

Once you explore some go to Toto Village. You MUST follow the road on the right side of the Fortress. Follow it up and you will see a town with a bridge over a river. That is Toto Village. Jowy will come out of your party and see Pilika. You will follow her into her house. She will have you talk to her parents. She will tell you to get an item for her parent. Then after that head to Muse City, the Capital of the City States. Muse City
Muse City is Capital of the City-States, therefore it is well maintained. Follow the road after the bridge in Toto Village. Continue, then you will see a cement road. Follow it to a Giant looking City, that is Muse. Go to the item store buy the item for 700 Potch. Then go back to Toto Village. You will see Toto Village burnt to dust. After that you will find Pilika, she will be crying. Talk with her for a while and then you will see a person in red, Apple. She will talk to you and then you will head to the Fortress with her.
